Crist Moonglow is a thief...or eh, a treasure hunter. He's a Sprite that hails from Spriton, a city stricken by poverty and overrun by gangs of thieves; unlike their neighbors to the west, the Fays, who prosper in a country of royalty, nobility, and power.
After completing a routine heist, Crist and his best friend, Mormone, are summoned by the leader of the most notorious and powerful gang of thieves, The Thief Takers. The Master Taker forces Moonglow upon a quest to retrieve a mythical sword-rumored capable of destroying entire armies-so that he may use the weapon to march an army into the country of Fayhine and destroy its citizens, nobles, and royal family; which would ultimately start a war between the Fays and Sprites. But other than the sword, the Master Taker wants him to find Crist's adoptive father, Jachrim, who convinced his old friend that he could find the lost sword and take over the Fays together in order to better the lives of their own Sprite race. But instead, the legendary thief, Jachrim, used the Master Taker's resources in order to go out and find the sword for himself, and has disappeared, enraging the ruthless gang leader.
Following clues left by Jachrim, Crist and Mormone meet a beautiful and intriguing farm girl, travel from port to port and city to city; passing through beautiful landscapes and venturing through treacherous forests and underground catacombs during their quest.
Along their journey, Crist and his friends will also discover that the notion of magic being extinct for the past hundreds of years, may not be entirely true.

First off I want to say this is a pretty good book for a newer writer, and a good first installment of a series. What I liked most about "the sprite theif" was the action and adenture it was almost non-stop throughout, and the plot kept me intrigued, i kept wanting to know what was going to happen next. The action was Indiana Jones like and the style and atmosphere felt like The Legend of Zelda/Final Fantasy which I thought was a clever mix. It got a little wordy at parts, but that did not take anything away from it being a very interesting story. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book of this series.Product details

Awesome fast pace action pact story with cool characters
This book is a nice, easy read. It's a good first book and looking forward to more from this new writer.
I really enjoyed the story. The characters were well developed and the plot line was clear and interesting. I am looking forward to reading more about the adventures of the Sprite Thief and his friends.
